My Digital Photography
The photos were taken with a KOKA Matrix 505 Camera - 5.5 Mega Pixel.
The camera was made in China and there is little or no info about it on the WWW???
I paid 25 buks (Au) for the camera (second hand), USB cable + various handy softwares.
Initially I paid $10 for a 64 meg SD Card but I recently purchased a new OLIN 1 GIGer for $15 - Yip!
I also ended up having to buy a 20 buk Ni-MH battery charger - quite essential to run the thing.
I really like this li'l camera - it hasn't missed a beat (1000+ photos)
...although there's no doubt the lense is quite dubious.
So I like everything it does - except the picture quality.
You're often in for a grainy mess...unless the light is perfect.
This camera also captures video at 320x240 - with sound!
Pretty cool feature really...good for pets and kids.
And, if that's not enough, the camera also doubles as a handy li'l WEBCAM.
All round, it's not that bad for a basic, entry level camera.
Certainly can't complain about the price. :)
Now that I know what these fascinating little devices can do...
...I can't wait to buy another one. :)
Don't panic if you've just bought a MATRIX 505 and the menus are in the wrong language.
Just go into the 'SET' menu and select the 3rd option down which is the 'LANGUAGE' selection.
In red writing from the top it goes: ENGLISH - ITALIAN - FRENCH - GERMAN - SPANISH - CHINESE
Also, be careful hitting OK on the 'DEFAULT' function 'coz the menus will turn CHINESE - quite scary :)
